Lexium LXM Drives

Benefits

With this generation of motors and drives, you have the benefit of powerful solutions to design and optimize machines - the perfect answer to your technical and economic challenges. By combining the essential motion control functions with control and command interfaces, Lexium 05 servo offer meets your requirements for the simplest, most reliable and most cost-effective machines.

Description

Lexium 05 servo drives:

  • 100…120 V single phase, from 0.4 to 1.4 kW
  • 200…240 V single phase, from 0.75 to 2.5 kW
  • 200…240 V 3-phase, from 0.75 to 3.2 kW
  • 380…480 V 3-phase, from 1.4 to 6 kW

The Lexium 05 range is enhanced by GBX planetary gearboxes. They are easy to mount, lubricated for life and available in 15 reduction ratios from 3:1 to 100:1. Economical, GBX gearboxes are designed for applications which are not susceptible to mechanical backlash. Lexium 05 servo drives comply with the international standards EN 50178, IEC/EN 61800-3. They are UL-approved (USA ), cUL-approved (Canada) and have the CE mark.

Control and interfaces

Lexium 05 servo drives can be controlled by numerous operation modes: Point-to-point mode (relative and absolute movements), motion sequence mode (sequencing configurable relative and absolute movements), electronic gearing mode (pulse position control), speed control with acceleration/deceleration ramp, instantaneous speed control and current control. This servo drive also features conventional adjustment modes, such as manual mode (JOG), for easy set up.

Depending on the model, Lexium 05 servo drives have four control interfaces as standard:

  • One interface for the CANopen, Modbus or Profibus DP communication buses and networks
  • One interface for the CANopen Motionbus
  • A maximum of 2 +/- 10V analog setpoint inputs to give the speed or current setpoint and limit the speed or current
  • A maximum of 2 RS 422 inputs (pulse/direction signals (P/D), A/B or CW/CCW type encoder signals).

Electromagnetic compatibility, EMC

The incorporation of “conducted and radiated” level A EMC filters into LXM05...F1, LXM05...M2 and LXM05...N4 drives makes installation easier and ensures CE compliance in a highly economical way. LXM05...M3X drives are available without an EMC filter. Filters, offered as an option, can be installed by the customer, if conformity to EMC standards is required.

Safety

The Lexium 05 servo drive is incorporated in the safety system of installations. It integrates the "Safe Stop" safety function which prevents accidental starting of the motor. This function is compliant with machine directive EN 954-1 category 3, standard IEC/EN 61508 SIL2 for electrical installations and draft standard IEC/EN 61800-5-2 for electrical drives.

Braking

Lexium 05 servo drives integrate a braking resistor so that external braking resistors are not required in most applications.
