The industrial Ethernet modem enables worldwide access to industrial ethernet networks in machines and systems. The industrial Ethernet modem can be controlled remotely with a modem and a telephone line.

Connection to the Ethernet modem is established as a dial-up connection with 128-bit password encryption and continuous reauthentication via the CHAP (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol) protocol wich prevents unauthorized access.
