LT6 Multifunction Protection Relay

New LT6 "Intelligent Motor Controller": Solid-State Microprocessor Technology and Communications Capability

The LT6 multifunction protection relay is an “intelligent motor controller” that utilizes solid-state microprocessor technology and provides communication with UNI-TELWAY or Modbus communication protocols.  With the LT6 relay, you save panel space and money by replacing almost a dozen relays in one compact device.

Features:

For use with 110 to 690 VAC, 50/60 Hz three-phase or single-phase motors UL listed, CSA approved Meets IEC 947-4-1 and carries CE marking Screw or DIN rail mountable Seven-segment display for fault indication Manual or automatic reset Local or remote (line) control with UNI-TELWAY or Jbus/Modbus protocols Provides non-reversing, reversing, two-speed, and star-delta motor control

When operated with conventional operator input devices such as push buttons and selector switches, the LT6 relay provides the following motor controls and protection functions:

Controls up to two power contactors Thermal overload protection by monitoring motor current Motor winding overheating protection of motors with PTC type thermistors Phase unbalance / phase loss protection Ground fault protection Thermal overload alarm

When used with MAGELiSXBT and XBT-L100 programming software or personal computer with LA9P620 Windows software, theLT6 relay provides the user the ability to remotely start and stop a motor, monitor the actual power values of a running motor, review the characteristics of the last five faults for troubleshooting and preventative maintenance studies, enable/disable and make changes to the protection parameter settings and the following additional functions:

Prolonged starting  Underload (undercurrent)  Torque limitation (locked rotor overcurrent)  Phase reversal  Undervoltage direction

The LT6 relay will stop the motor when one of the preset motor protection threshold values is exceeded.  A local fault indication is shown on the seven-segment LED display on the front face of the device, and the MAGELiS XBT or personal computer via the LA9P620 Windows software program.
