Altivar 58 Type FVC AC Drives Utilize the Latest in Drive Technology

Altivar 58 (ATV58) Type FVC closed loop flux vector AC drives are used for precise speed control and optimum low speed torque performance of three-phase asynchronous motors.  Altivar 58 Type FVC AC drives are available with a variety of operator interface options, I/O extension cards, and communication cards.  Ventilation & conduit entry options combined with NEMA Type 1 construction provides installation flexibility for OEMs and users installing AC drives.

Altivar 58 Type FVC AC drives produce a PWM (pulse width modulation) waveform with a closed loop flux vector control algorithm to provide stable 100% torque performance down to zero speed.  It also provides excellent dynamic speed response over a wide speed range (1:1000) with bandwidths exceeding 50Hz.

Altivar 58 Type FVC AC drives utilize the latest in drive technology by incorporating in their design Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) containing IGBTs (insulated gate bipolar transistors) and multiple ASICs to reduce parts count and improve reliability.
